As you may know, sometimes this activism stuff can get a little overwhelming, not just schedule-wise, but also mentally, in dealing with the every-day life pressures that tend to go along with "thinking outside of the box." And for a long time it's been one of the main reasons I haven't been able to keep up with making videos, let alone start my own radio show. But not any more! I've realized I've been putting way too much pressure on myself... to be smart... to be precise… to be prepared... to be engaging... to be organized... to always have some epic project up my sleeve. Otherwise, what's the point of making a video, or having a show? Right? Wrong.
Well, at least not if I expect to keep my sanity...
On B-Radio, if you decide to join me, we are literally going to Hang-out. No pressure. This will be a place for activists -- or anyone, really -- to tune in, relax, and who knows... maybe we'll learn something by accident, lol. Don't get me wrong; the backdrop for these shows will still be relevant topics of interest. You know, the usual -- news, media, social issues, science & technology, the economy, etc. but the format is going to be extremely casual. So-much-so that you shouldn't be too surprised if you're just a little bit dumber when you leave here. But hopefully you'll be a little bit happier too. That's the goal. (Don't worry. Afterward you can go listen to a more respectable radio show to regain your wits... and integrity.)
So here's a brief look at what to expect:
B-Radio Nightcap -- Just me, talking about some news story or issue I found interesting... possibly scheduled at the last minute. Grab a drink and tune in. (No, seriously. If you don't have a drink you can't tune in. It can be water, or apple juice. Just get one.)
B-Radio Slumber Party -- I will invite other activists on the show to hang out and chat about whatever the topic is. We will be live on the webcam... in our pajamas! Woo hoo! (I don't know why I am Woo-hoo-ing about this. It just felt so appropriate to write it after that exclamation point.)
B-Radio Happy Hour -- I will invite people of opposing views on the show... No, not to debate! To get to know each other, and talk about things we have in common, and maybe make fun of the common enemy, whoever that may be. No debating here. It's a "happy" hour. Ha ha. Get it?
B-Radio Open Bar -- Questions? Now's the time to ask. You can ask questions about topics we've covered on the show, or about me! (Hey, hey, keep it PG people. Geez.) I will do my best to answer them. (I haven't figured out if I'm going to take callers, or just have people submit their questions beforehand via email or something. Idk, who cares! There I go with that "planning" and sh*t.)
B-Radio Fish Fry -- *Sigh* This wasn't part of the original lineup, but it occurred to me that I am still going to be getting invalid objections to TVPchallenge, so I might as well use some of this time to fry them, right here on the show. Not all objections deserve to be fried, but the ones that do will be seasoned, battered, and dropped in hot oil. Kids eat free! Oh wait, never mind. Everyone eats free.
So that's it so far.
Remember, I'm new at this, so we'll see how it goes and maybe make some tweaks as we go along. For now, sit back and enjoy the upcoming shows, and I hope to see you tuned in to B-Radio!
